Ristorante Parizzi
Parma is one of the Italian gourmet sanctuaries, and this restaurant reputation perfectly fits in. The Parizzi family has been running it for three generation. Started out as an ‘osteria’ it has been turned into a chic restaurant with amazing decoration in the front-ofthe-house, and high-tech devices in the back-of-the-house. Marco Parizzi is an extraordinary chef, often on the air in TV shows, while Cristina – his wife – is maitre d’ and also in charge of the wine cellar. Actually, the wine list is reputed one of the best in Italy.

Ristorante Il Focarile
Aprilia is along the street that connects Roma to Latina, in the hinterland of the coast that descends from Anzio towards Circeo, with all it has to offer in terms of beaches and natural scenery. The history of Focarile goes back to forty years ago, when Augusto Lunghi believed in founding a country restaurant. At the time, it was just a simple farmstead; today it is a fine restaurant in a beautifully kept park, where the cuisine relies on the genuineness of the ingredients.

Ristorante La Trota dal ’63
Rivodutri is a town by the road that goes from Rieti to Umbria, passing through a beautiful zone with Franciscan convents, filled with greenery and streams that join the river Velino. Having said this, the curiosity to understand the reason for the name of this restaurant must rightly be satisfied; started as a restaurant more than forty years ago, its historic specialty is fish straight from the river. With time, having been passed on to the children, though still firmly keeping to the family way of doing things, it has become a restaurant that offers refined local cuisine.

Locanda Degli Artisti
The geographical triangular area the bounderies of which are marked by the Oglio River and the Po River is a picturesque landscape as well as an outstanding food-and-wine district. Here, the Carbonis have run for four generations the Italia Restaurant at villa Sommi Picenardi located in Torri, and the Locanda degli Artisti, an inn sited in one of the most typical Lombard yards in Cappella. The cuisine based on the bountiful harvest of the Cremona land is traditional, but so chic to be ranked among the most distinguished cuisines.

Ristorante Nizzoli
Villastrada is geographically speaking equidistant from Mantua, Parma, and Modena. Its location has enriched its traditional gastronomy. The restaurant dates back to the old times, it has been run by the Nizzoli family for long. It is a sort of museum: walls are full of murales - wall paintings, photographs, and mementos of famous guests. Every season has its own specialty: pork - late winter, escargot in spring, melon in summer, frog and grapes in autumn, of course, pumpkin and white truffl es in early winter.
