The association gradually grew. From 12, to 40, and then 80 restaurants. Initially only in Italy itself, and later, chosen with the utmost care, restaurants abroad that had chosen to serve authentic Italian regional cuisine abroad. Today there are 123 Buon Ricordo restaurants (with 14 overseas). For them traditional dishes, locally-sourced products and traditional specialities are no fleeting fashion, but a lasting commitment. Food, wine and good cooking: in Italy, as in very few other countries in the world, fine dining and traditional specialities are almost as much a part of the attraction for tourists as the country’s stunning art and culture. Since 1964 our restaurants have been committed to enhancing Italy’s many gastronomic traditions, ambassadors for a culture still very much alive today, the perfect finishing touch to a day spent exploring a treasure trove of art and culture.
