For close on 50 years the Unione Ristoranti del Buon Ricordo has been guaranteeing a delicious voyage of discovery through the kaleidoscope of colours and flavours of Italian food. Its over 100 member restaurants scattered up and down Italy from north to south represent the best in Italian regional cooking and are the definitive guide to gourmet Italian hospitality.
The Unione dei Ristoranti del Buon Ricordo has a long, consolidated and glorious history. It started with a felicitous and timely idea from Dino Villani, a man of culture and a brilliant communicator (among other things he was the driving force behind Miss Italy). A group of quality restaurants formed an association to boost the fame and prestige of traditional regional Italian cuisine, little known and appreciated at the time. This was in the spring of 1964. Members committed to serving typical local dishes and to always having, year round, at least one speciality to represent their regional cuisine at its very best.
